How I Twitter

Twollo is my favorite free tool to use with Twitter. It helps me by going out and getting potential buyers for the products I am selling. How does it do that? Well, what Twollo does is take the keywords that you put in and it goes out and finds the people who are talking about those particular keywords. When it finds them it automatically follows them for you. For example, if you are selling video games and you tell Twollo to follow people who are talking about video games it will follow the number of people you tell it to. It will not follow all of those people at once, so there is no fear of having your Twitter account suspended by using Twollo.

This helps affiliate marketers to get customers without having to go out and actually look for them. It is a great tool that saves a lot of time when you are trying to run a business. By using Twollo you will see an explosion in the number of followers you have. Almost every day there are new people following you because you followed them.

Tweet Later is yet another must have tool for the internet marketer’s toolbox. There is a free version which is packed with features, but there is also a professional version with twice as many features. In this video I take you through the steps of how to add an account, and also show you my favorite parts about this cool tool.

One thing I really like about Tweet Later is the fact that you can automatically send a welcome message to anyone who follows you. I love the fact that I can put my website,service,product, or any other thing I want in front of people’s faces without having to do any of the work myself.

I also like that I can automatically follow anyone who chooses to follow me. One of the best ways to maintain followers on Twitter is to make sure that you follow the people back who follow you. This way you won’t get whacked whenever someone decides to bulk unfollow people who aren’t following them.

Another great thing about this free Twitter tool is the unfollow option. When you select the auto unfollow option you are telling Tweet later to automatically unfollow anyone who unfollows you. This way when someone decides they are done reading your tweets you can be done reading theirs as well.

The last feature that I really like about Tweet Later is that you can set up tweets to go out whenever you want them to. You can set up a lot of tweets and set them to go out whenever you want. This way you can put in Tweets for a whole week and have your work the rest of the week done for you.

A quick way to begin making money with your Twitter account is by using Clickbank. For those of you who know what Clickbank is you know it has a huge marketplace full of products that you can sell for a great commission. The best part about using Clickbank is you do not have to do any selling. All of these products have their own sales pages so they do all of the selling for you. All you have to do is get eyes on the product.

Twitter is a great way to get a lot of eyes on a lot of products. If you have been following along with the videos I have been making about how to set up your Twitter account to run on autopilot then you already know how to get followers who are going to be interested in your products, and you will start making sales when those people click on your link and decide to make a purchase.

There are a lot of different methods and ways to sell Clickbank products, but using your Twitter account is a great way. Yes, I know that the title of this article is bold and almost rude.   That is the point!  Many people on twitter think that having 10,000 twitter followers or more is going to make them money, make them important or even make them an authority on Twitter.  This is so far from the truth it is actually a lauchable matter.

Why Having A Gazillion Followers Will Not Make You an Automatic Success on Twitter

The number of people following you really has nothing to do with your success or lack there of on twitter.  This has to be the biggest misconseption of new Twitter marketers that I have run across to date.  I know everybody loves to see big numbers under their name, but when it comes down to it, these numbers mean a lot more if you know how you got them.

By this I mean, if you go jump on every viral Twitter Follower site you come across, 2 things happen:

1. You are folling the same people, everybody who went to that site is following everybody who went to that site!  Does that make you have more pull with these people?  No, not at all and in fact, probably less.  People going to these sites are looking for one thing and that is followers, they have no interest in you or what you are tweeting about.
2. You have now effectively taken away what ever good name you had on twitter by filling your tweets with spam from these sites.  Most of these sites send out a rediculus ammount of self serving messages.  Do you really want to promote the same junk?  I hope not.

Twitter Follower : Quality Over Quantity

The ONLY way to get more results from your twitter following, is to assure that you are adding people who know you or at least have similar interest.  Adding a “Follow Me” link on your main web site or blog is a great way to get real interested followers, because these followers have already seen your site and know what to expect and in most cases will be hungry for the information you are sharing.  If you are on many social networks, let all your friends and fans on all these sites know how to follow you on twitter as well, these will become quality followers as well.

If you only build your following by automated resources, you will have built a pretty weak army, there are some follow systems that allow you to choose topics of interest and these fall in the middle in my mind.

Twitter Testing and Results

Just to assure myself that I was not just blowing smoke with this post, I recently setup a few accounts on twitter.  I setup 2 that I hand picked the followers, make direct contact with each and built the way I suggest you do and I setup 2 accounts with autofollow twitter followers only.  I am sure you can guess the results and in this case the 90/10 rule really did prove itself.

I send out one promo tweet each day to all accounts, among other real messages.  I saw only about 10% the number of clickthroughs come from my auto follow accounts.   If you are an internet marketer trying to use twitter to get clicks and get paid, I think you get the picture.

Taking the time to grow your twitter account really does pay off!  If you want big numbers, go auto follow til you hearts content, but don’t expect these guys to pay the bills for you!

Hello Fellow Twitter Users!

Nick Simpson here, I know that there is one thing that all twitter users want and that is “More Followers!” There have been many auto follow services pop up in the last few months and it is rummered that twitter is to do away with auto-follow in the near future. I think that this is a great idea, because most of these so called “viral autofollow” services are bunch of crap any way. They let everybody that is part of the system follow each other and nobody pays any attention to each others tweets, thus defeating the purpose of having a large following in the first place.

What is Auto Follow?

For those of you who are new to twitter, autofollow is a method of obtaining new followers automatically, either by using a twitter api or a website that is setup to match up twitter users by forcing one to follow another.  There are a few different ways these systems actually function, the problem with most, is that they do not give you the option to follow folks of similar interest, so you usually end up with thousands of followers who could care less about what your twitter messages are, but you have a lot of followers!

So you want the best of both worlds huh.  You want to automate the growth of your twitter account and at the same time you want to have some laser like targeting to only attract followers that are actually interested in what you share and are interested in the same topics or niche that you work with.  Well, here it is the “Organic Twitter Auto Follow Method” and it’s pretty sweet!

It will take a little time to setup and run, however this methodology will produce a very refined and reputable group of followers for you no matter what niche or field you are in.

Step 1

To start off with you need to know who you are looking for, so much like an seo project, you need to get keywords ready that are interesting to folks that you want to follow.

Is it totally automatic, not really, but does it produce a vast following of hungry information seekers in any industry, YES!

The biggest difference in the results you will see from using this method, exspecially if you have more than one account, is that you will not be following the same people everywhere, the folks that are now following you “will respond” to your twitter messages and best of all your account will not be seen as spam.

My Twitter Tactics and its associates have been keeping an eye on Twitter and it is a growing beast. It’s size dwarfs most of its social media competition.  Of course there are many who have tried to take advantage of twitters rapid growth and cash in on new members trying to get more followers and so on. But besides getting paid to tell people how to use twitter, how else can you make money on this site?

Well there are many huge companies that use twitter updates to let their clients know about the best deals and when they have sales and this is a great way to keep in contact with your customers.  However, we think that this is not much of a step up from email, especially since your customers will have to go get a twitter account to take advantage of what you are offering in this manor.

On the other hand, what about affiliate marketing?

Well if you want to preach to the choir with your advertising campaign, you will not find a better place to do it.  You can use the new search feature on twitter to find users who are discussing anything in the world.  So why not use this to do a little market research and see if you can find some new followers at the same time?

Of course, you can add a website to your profile and it doesn’t hurt to do that, but the point is that you don’t need your own website to grow your web presence on twitter.  If you are promoting an affiliate site, you can simply add it as your homepage on your profile and drive even more traffic to your opportunity or service.

5. Tiny URL

OK, for some this may not make since right off the bat, but what I mean by this is the fact that twitter automatically uses tinyurl to shorten long urls.  In the past, an affiliate marketer who was sending out his affiliate link would be given away by the long web address with his affiliate code in it.  No more, your urls are shortened for you and nobody worries about the nondescript web address, because that is how so many show up by default on twitter.  This can be a huge advantage for an affiliate marketer!

Video On Twitter?

How many people have seen video on twitter?

Probably not many, because twitter does not allow the use of video in your tweets or your live stream.  However, thanks to this really cool third party software, you can now add video to your own twitter page. So How Does it Work?

Well, all you have to do is go to bubbletweet.com and have a web cam.  You can either upload the video you want or you can record it live on the site, which is a pretty cool feature.  The site does not have the ability to change twitter, but it generates a frame set that you will be given a link to use.  You can give this link out on twitter or any site to send people to your video enhanced twitter page.  The only limitation is that you can only record for 30 seconds, so make you message short, sweet and to the point.

Why Add Video To My Twitter?

Well that is a good question, many believe that the power and popularity of twitter reside in it’s simplicity, so why add video?  Well, I think that there are many reasons that adding video to your twitter account can be very advantageous.  Can you imagine, getting a tweet from a person you want to meet and sending them a tweet back with a link to your live twitter video?  What if a client asks a question and it would be easier to “show” them?  How about sending all of your new twitter followers a video welcome message?

There has been much talk amongst many online businesses and Internet gurus across the web about the possibility of the Twitter allowing celebrities the chance to have a Twitter Verified Profile.  Now the wait is over, just yesterday Twitter released there new account verification system and Oprah, Shaq and many others have already gotten there accounts verified over night.

Twitter says that this new feature will help fight the ongoing problem with celebrity imposters on their site.

It is believed that these top celebrities may have been part of the driving force behind this change on twitter, both Oprah and Shaq boast over 1 Million followers, so they have to be some of the most influential users on the site.

Michael Phelps has not taken the plunge to get his account verified yet, but then he only has 8,000 followers , Ouch!

The decision to verify these high profile accounts on twitter, is to protect the good names of these celebrities and make it harder for people to “pose” as them on popular social sites.  Facebook is soon to follow in twitters footsteps, as they are just about to change the profile naming convention as you may have already seen.  This will allow them to put a hold on all the top celebrity names and then sell them off to the celebs!

Not everybody will want or need a twitter verified account, but it is good to know who you are “really” following. There are many bogus and simply shady characters on twitter trying to pose as somebody they are not and now that should be a problem of the past with Twitter Verified Profiles!

So the question is, Can You Make Money On Twitter?

The short and simple answer is “Hell Yea!” you can make money on Twitter.  When I say that I mean, you can make money “with” Twitter, because there is no direct way to get people to buy from you on twitter.  However, twitter is a internet marketers dream when it comes to staying in touch with customers and displaying any specials that you may have to offer returning customers.

Just because you cannot sell directly on their site does not mean that you cannot use the simply awesome power of RSS and Followers to attract new people to your site and remind your current customers to come back.

Is it really better than email?

I feel bad that I actually have to answer that, but Yes!  So far beyond email.  When was the last time you wrote an email and it ended up on the front page of google?  Well probably never, so yes twitter is a lot better than email.

Can I Use Twitter With Affiliate Programs?

Why yes, you can.  Actually sending out your affiliate links is easier and more effective than on other sites, because all long addresses are shrunk using “tinyurl.”  So actually it almost “cloaks” your affiliate ids for you and nobody knows if it is your link or the official link to the site, so really this is a untapped affiliate system, its free too, so come on in!

What about finding new leads with Twitter?

You will look long and hard before you find a better arena to locate and communicate with new leads.  You can search users by keywords and then start following directly.  You can also use many third party softwares to find and follow people in any niche you can imagine.  So let the leads start rolling in, again, if you not tired of hearing it yet, ITS FREE!

So, your suggesting that internet marketers and businesses don’t spend time on the fastest growing website on the planet?

There are plenty of folks out there who are making good money on twitter, I would not judge from your own experience. I think that it is a wonderful way to keep customers up to date with your business and let them know about new specials you may be running. I don’t think it is as powerful as, say, facebook, but man, if you are not going to be on twitter, thats like opening a brick and mortar business and saying “I am not going to put a sign out front”

Just my thoughts on the topic, don’t mean to offend.
